Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to.”

What would you prefer? Having foam rubber arms or having ten duckling following you anywhere?

Even if is not so bad to have foam rubber arms, we prefer the 10 duckling.

Hellogoodvibes is it a  crew, a collective , or a label ?

Thanks for asking! Recently there is some confusion about this matter. HelloGoodVibe started as our collaborative project to produce and dj. Once in Barcelona we had a discussion with an old friend (Hi.Moez member of Wesphere) and we finally decided to create a platform under the name HelloGoodVibes (.com). Also because we have a new project with a different name coming soon.

We have listened to your compilation (with 5 remixs and 3 productions) again and again. Why a compilation? Not enought time?

To celebrate our HelloGoodVibe adventure, we decided to select our best productions and remixes we made in the last three years. And yes, it’s not easy to dedicate as much time and energy to music as we would like to. But we keep dreaming and enjoying life as much as we can.

An EP soon?

For sure : we have been producing a lot lately.  A new Project will come out sooner or later. When? What? Why? We cannot say!

We listened to  some of your first productions and we really enjoyed it! We hope to heard more asap.  Can you explain your work method?

Thank you! Well they’re not exactly our first productions. One of us has been producing electronic music for a long time and the other one plays the piano. In the compilation you can find recent and older productions. We don’t have a strict organization, we just think without noise you can’t get any sounds!

Musically and friendly:  What brought you together?

Lots of things: Our families know each other, we shared desks at school and later our flat but above all we share music.

Who is the most freaky?

Him, no doubts.

Your music top five lately?

-Trimbal – Confidence Boost (Harmonimix) – The new hit of Mr. Blake, amazing.

-Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes – Ahhhhhhmmm

-Joyce Muniz – Drop In Pressure (Mysticdub Remix) – Crazy!

-Triumph & Valldeneu - Discover Feat Valldeneu (Jimmy Edgar Remix) – He can’t stop releasing beauties

-Parliament – P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up) – Old but gold.

What are the 5 Labels or NetLabels which attract you?

Int.: 100% Silk, Faces Records, Dial. Nat.: Struments Records, Neonized Records.

What would you do with a blank cheque?

Go to the bank and make sure there was money on the account and then go for a walk.

If we get you an empty cinema Which movie would you choose?

A Spike Lee movie.

The track from Grandpa ?

Pau Casals - El Cant dels Ocells

Anything else?

Merci Premièrefois pour le soutien et bonne chance pour ce projet! Bisous!

Dive, Begemott

The Velvet Underground

—Murder Mystery

Murder Mystery is certainly the most experimental song from the Velvet’s eponymous album. Also called “the couch album”, the critics did not received it as favourably as their two earlier albums. After John Cale (bass, viola, piano) being replaced by Doug Yule (bass, organ), the band was criticised for having lost their experimental and psychedelic touch. This release prooves them wrong.

Medicine by Gustav Klimt, destroyed by fire in 1945 at the Immendorff Palace, Austria.

Picture and album cover by Billy Name, an artist from The Factory, even though Warhol had little influence on the band from this album on.

Be attentive, something is happening in your brain

I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exaclty who I am.

I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feet. I am Movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.
